Does Spring Camp have water?

I'm looking to camp in the Gabes next weekend (May 17-18) and am exploring peaks around Azusa. I'm thinking about parking along 39 by the San Gabriel Reservoir and hiking to Spring Camp via West Fork Trail. I'd return along Rincon Red Box Truck Trail the following day:

What I'm most concerned about is water: are there opportunities after leaving the river after the mile 7? Our trip has a lot of climbing and distance after that, and might need to reconsider if we'd need to pack all our water for it. The website implies Spring Camp has only a seasonal stream, and don't have much intuition if there's any flow from our wet April.

That's a common-ish biking loop. I've never seen water anywhere over there, but also I haven't looked for it. My strong suspicion is that this is too high and too close to the ridge-top to have flowing water, but I don't know for certain. Unless you get definitive word from somebody that there is water over there, you should assume there isn't.

You have to follow the side road down to the campground. The spring water pops up below the picnic area. You'll hear it if it's flowing, which it should be this time of year.
